Wedding Style Series: Spring Wedding Trends

spring wedding trends

The flowers are blooming, the days are getting longer, and the sun is shining again, so this can only mean one thing… the spring wedding season has finally arrived!

Spring weddings have a special place in our hearts, and we can’t stop thinking about the beautiful blooming florals, the pastel palettes, and the delicate spring details in the decor. If you’re planning a spring wedding, we’ve curated this style series with all of our favorite trends.

Color Scheme

Lemon + Coral

Yellow is a stunning and vibrant color that perfectly matches the springtime sunshine, while also hinting at the summer days to come.

Peach + Mint

If you like the idea of a pink and blue palette but don’t want to stick to the traditional color scheme, then mint and peach are perfect. Both colors are a little darker, richer, and will stand out in any floral arrangement or decorative pieces.

Lavender + Baby Green

Lavender and lilac are classic springtime colors that look gorgeous when paired with any type of greenery. We especially love to see these color combos in the flower bouquets, cake designs, and table decorations.

FLORALS

Springtime brides are the luckiest when it comes to choosing flowers for their bouquets and decor because there are so many beautiful in-season options.

Romantic Roses – You can never go wrong with a classic bouquet filled with roses for a romantic touch.

Pop of Peonies – Spring is the prime-time bloom season for peonies, and they provide the perfect pops of pink.

Delicate Daisies – Bright yellow daisies mixed in with the chic white flowers give any bouquet and fresh and clean look that is perfect for the spring.

DRESSES

Last but certainly not least, you have to go spinning into the spring wedding season with the dress of your dreams.

Simple + Sheer

The beauty of this dress is in the simple sheer details. The long sheer sleeves are a fun way to give your dress both a fresh and modern appearance.

Flowy + Floral

Flowy and floral dresses play to the whimsical and boho nature of the spring season, and you’ll look like you walked straight out of a fairytale.

(Check out our Wedding Style Series for Beautiful Boho Brides if flowy and floral are calling your name)

Classic Bride

If you’re dreaming of a classic, clean, and chic wedding, then you need the dress to match. Try a classic and simple bridal gown with a more modern structure to highlight your silhouette.

PLANNING THE PERFECT SPRING WEDDING

The color schemes, flower arrangements, and dresses are just the beginning. Planning the perfect spring wedding is no easy feat, and that is why the Sanger Mansion is here to be the all-inclusive wedding venue of your dreams.

Winter Wedding Nail Inspiration

Winter weddings are all about the snowy landscapes, wintry florals, icy blue hues, and so many other festive seasonal elements. Everything about your wedding day should be absolutely perfect and your nails are no exception. We’ve curated a cute collection of nail inspo that range from classic and chic to trendy and modern that will hopefully inspire the manicure for your winter wedding.

Looks Like Lace

Lace is a classic accent on any wedding dress and it pops just as well on your nails. Lace detailing is the perfect way to make your nails stand out while also looking classy and chic.

Festive Foil

You can never go wrong with a classic nude set of nails for your wedding day, however, if you’re looking for a way to add a festive sparkle, try incorporating gold or silver foil details into your nail design.

Christmas Colored Tips

If you’re tired of getting the same old white french tip nails, you should try including a pop of a Christmas color like bright red or emerald green.

Blue Christmas

Avoid the Christmas blues on your wedding day with a fabulous set of nails to compliment your dream dress. These crisp blue tones are the perfect frosty accent for any winter wedding.

Classic Rudolph Red

Nothing says Christmas wedding like a timeless red manicure. You can throw in a couple accent nails to turn down the boldness of the red and add dimension.

Wedding Style Series: Whimsical Winter Wedding Trends

winter-wedding-venue-trend-grey-1

From the snowy winter landscapes and icy blue hues, to the wintry decor and holiday music, winter weddings are whimsical in every way imaginable. While there’s nothing wrong with the traditional red and green seasonal decor, there are several other festive colors and trends that you can use to spruce up your winter wedding.

Captivating Color Scheme

Gray + Dusty Blue

These cool tone hues are the perfect color combo to create a delicate wintery aesthetic. The dusty blue emulates the Christmas and holiday tones without being overly festive. If you want to feel like you’re walking through a dreamy winter wonderland, then this is your color scheme.

Chocolate Brown + Dark Wine

If you’re looking to bring some warmth to your frosty festivities, then try this deep chocolate brown and dark wine palette to add a pop of color and dimension. We love how these moody and earthy tones are able to create a subtle twist on the traditional holiday elements. If you love color but don’t want to go full red, then we suggest hues like burgundy, merlot, or crimson!

Dresses

Faux Fur

A Faux-Fur cape is the perfect way to layer up and keep yourself warm during your winter wedding. Faux-fur is cozy, chic, glamorous, and will not take away from the beauty of your dream dress.

Long Sleeves

If you’re like most Texans and you’re sensitive to the cooler temperatures, then long sleeves are an elegant way to add another stylish element to the dress that also keeps your warm. We love the look of this bride’s graceful lace sleeves.

Delightful Decor

Lighting

As we adjusted our clocks for daylight savings time, the days got darker much faster, so that means lighting at a winter wedding is of the utmost importance so that your guests aren’t dancing into each other.

If you’re having an outdoor reception, we recommend stringing lights around low lying limbs or in the table decor to create a perfect winter sparkle. If you’re having an indoor wedding, then we love the look of illuminated backdrops and uplighting.

Nature

Natural details like pinecones, birch logs, flowers, and greenery are perfect for creating the feel of an authentic winter wonderland forest. Some of our favorite flowers in season during the winter are camellias, gardenias, ranunculus, and roses.

Festive Food

Coffee + Hot Chocolate

Who doesn’t love a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate on a chilly winter day? Coffee and hot chocolate are seasonal favorites, and they will serve as the perfect warm treat after dinner. You can spice things up even further by adding toppings for people to choose from like marshmallows, cinnamon sticks, whipped cream, and caramel sauce just to name a few.

S’mores Kit

The coffee and hot chocolate would pair perfectly with a s’mores kit. S’mores are a crowd-pleasing dessert that kids and adults alike will love! Try offering a s’mores bar where your guests can build and customize their own, or offer them as a wedding favor that they can take home and enjoy later.

Wedding Style Series: Beautiful Boho Brides

Picking a theme and style for your dream wedding can be a daunting task when there are plenty of gorgeous color palettes, linens, decorations, and many other decisions to make before you can say “I do’. If you’re looking to create a wedding atmosphere that looks like it came from a mythical enchanted storybook, with all the greenery, nature, and earth inspired elements, then you should consider a beautiful bohemian theme for your wedding and reception.

From the woven and rustic decor, to the braided hair, overflowing florals, and flowy dresses, a beautiful boho bride can perfectly express her romanticism and individuality through her color scheme, dress, hairstyle, florals, and decor.

We’ve curated this style series with all of our favorite trends to inspire the perfect bohemian chic wedding.

Color Scheme

Copper + Peach

If you’re looking for something dainty and soft, with a touch of rustic elegance, then this copper and peach color combination is perfect for you. The pink tones keep the color palette warm while the copper brings in the earthy and rustic touch.

Dark Teal + Orange

We are living for this dark teal and orange color combo as it brings in a refreshing sense of sophistication and balance to the boho bride theme. The teal is moody and mysterious and fits perfectly with the burnt orange for a fall wedding without looking too themed.

Sage + Emerald

We are living for this dark teal and orange color combo as it brings in a refreshing sense of sophistication and balance to the boho bride theme. The teal is moody and mysterious and fits perfectly with the burnt orange for a fall wedding without looking too themed.

Dresses

Flowy Sleeves

Nothing says boho bride like a whimsical sleeve. Long flowy bell sleeves are perfect for adding a flirty and elegant touch to your wedding dress. Bell sleeves are bold, so if you’re looking for something slightly subdued but still fit for a boho bride, then try a dress with a bishop sleeve instead.

Lace

Lace is the perfect blend of chic vintage style with delicate romanticism. Lace is lightweight and perfect for either a warm spring wedding or a cool winter wedding. Not to mention the fact that lace sleeves give us total Kate Middleton wedding dress vibes.

Who doesn’t want to look and feel like a bohemian chic princess?

Hairstyles

Braid + Bun

Loose cascading braids and messy buns are simple and romantic hairstyles that will look good on any boho bride. They are also the perfect way to keep your hair out of your face while you’re talking to your family and friends or when you hit the dance floor.

Flowers + Foliage

A boho bride’s hairstyle should be as free-spirited as she is. Adding bits of flowers or foliage to your curls or updo are a nice way to add an elegant earthy touch.

Florals

Wildflowers + Foliage

Wildflowers in a boho bride bouquet give it a rustic feel while still embodying a creative and whimsical free-spirit. We love a boho bride bouquet that incorporates long, loose, and free-flowing blooms. Lavender, pampas grass, peonies, eucalyptus, and the classic rose are some of our favorites!

Decor

Woven + Straw Decor

Woven and straw detailing in wedding decor screams boho bride! The long dangling woven material can be knotted and braided to create an ethereal backdrop for your special moment, and the straw material adds a fun tone and texture.

Natural Elements

Nontraditional mediums like concrete, wood, tile, and gemstones can add a unique bohemian flare to your wedding design. Using natural elements from the space around you is the perfect way to tie in the rustic earthy touches.

Venue

Sanger Mansion

Every boho bride needs an elegant backdrop for their big day. The Sanger Mansion sits on nine acres of lush lawns with an alluring mansion, and a breathtaking view of the Texas landscapes. Our Favorite Fall Wedding Trends

Fall comes with many unbeatable seasonal staples, so it’s no surprise that fall is the most popular time of the year to tie the knot. Weddings from September to December provide the cool fresh air for dreamy outdoor ceremonies or receptions and the bright autumn leaves to create a captivating backdrop for pictures of your special day. We at Bella Mansions have collected our fall wedding favorites for things like cakes, dresses, decor, and more that you can use as inspiration for your perfect autumnal wedding!

Decor & Aesthetics

Clean and Green

You can never go wrong with the traditional clean and green look! We have found that more couples are opting for plants, leaves, and vines in their decor instead of strictly flowers, especially in the fall.

Dark and Earthy

Floral arrangements and decorations are starting to stray from the traditional delicate flowers to incorporate dark dry flowers, painted flowers, or bleached flowers. Dark and earthy tones are perfect for a fall wedding.

Dresses

For The Bride

2020 has been non-traditional to say the least. It seems only fitting that non-traditional wedding dress alternatives like jumpsuits, skirts, and capes are becoming increasingly popular in fall weddings. Express your creativity and style and try out one of these contemporary styles.

For The Bridesmaids

You could also try adding some pumpkin spice into your bridesmaids dresses! Allow your bridesmaids to express their creativity and individuality by having them wear something similar but not exactly the same.

Cakes

Recently, we’ve seen a trend towards more organic and natural looking wedding cakes. Some of our favorite fall wedding cakes utilize designs that resemble stone, marble, and other earthy textures like vines, flowers, and greenery.

Invitations

The busy wedding season means that your friends and families mailboxes are probably filling up with several other invitations. You can make your wedding invite stand out from the rest by incorporating bolder colors, patterns, calligraphy, or even an acrylic design!

Food & Entertainment

A wedding trend that is on the rise is getting the wedding guests more involved at the reception. The perfect way to get people to interact is through food and entertainment. Try incorporating a mixology class, charcuterie boards at tables, a live band, or even a live painter to create a memorable night for you and your guests.

Venue

All fall weddings need a dreamy backdrop and brides are starting to opt for venues with history and heart instead of a stuffy old ballroom.

The Sanger Mansion sat abandoned for over 30 years but is now being renovated to become a premier venue for the wedding of your dreams. The Sanger Mansion is an all-inclusive wedding venue, so Bella Mansions will take care of the tedious wedding tasks like securing photography, videography, catering, and flower arrangements. The Sanger Mansion Has a Rich History

Bella Mansion Luxury Wedding venue

For 30 years, an abandoned mansion sat hidden away in the beautiful Texas landscapes of a quaint town called Sanger. Sanger, Texas is in Denton County and is approximately 45 minutes northwest of Dallas. The mansion has a long and rich history rooted in Sanger, Texas which starts with its founding in 1866 as a stop along the Santa Fe Railroad line. Sanger’s population has continued to grow over the years and currently rests at a little over 7,000 people, making it the quaint and comfortable picturesque town for your wedding.

Through the mid-1980s Joseph and Julie Powell began construction on a captivating mansion with grand stables and other features to be their dream home. When they were unable to complete construction on the mansion, the property sat idle until it was sold in 1999, and again in 2019 to Bella Mansions.

Bella Mansions has been working hard over the past several months to renovate the abandoned Sanger Mansion and turn it into the wedding and events venue of your dreams. By 2021, the Sanger Mansion will be transformed into a delightful indoor and outdoor venue with captivating landscapes and convenient amenities for weddings and events.

The 27,000 square foot mansion showcases a 3-story floating staircase in the middle of the house, which makes for the perfect grand entrance and photos. As if the mansion wasn’t enough, the nine-acre property also features captivating landscapes for outdoor weddings, and a beautiful vineyard where you will have full access to the ripest grapes.

You can probably already imagine yourself spending a weekend away in Sanger, Texas with family and friends to celebrate the best day of your life.
