You’ve finally done it! You’ve fallen in love, found the perfect partner, and now you’re ready to take the next step: getting married! But before you start planning your dream wedding, you need to decide on one important thing – where will the wedding take place? If you’re considering an outdoor venue, there are a few things you need to take into account. At Bella Mansions, we can host your special day inside our majestic Sanger Mansion or outside with our lovely vineyard! Here are some pros and cons of having an outdoor wedding to help you make your decision.

The Pros of an Outdoor Wedding Venue:

One of the biggest pros of having an outdoor wedding is that it allows you to really personalize your day. When you have a blank canvas to work with, the sky’s the limit when it comes to decorations and themes. If you’ve always wanted a rustic-chic wedding or a glamorous fairytale affair, an outdoor venue is a perfect place to make your dreams come true. And speaking of dreams, an outdoor setting can also be incredibly romantic and unforgettable. Just imagine exchanging vows surrounded by beautiful nature – it doesn’t get much more magical than that!

Outdoor venues are also typically less expensive than indoor locations since they don’t require as much in terms of décor and furniture. And if you’re worried about bad weather ruining your big day, don’t be – most outdoor venues have a backup plan in place in case of inclement weather.

The Cons of an Outdoor Wedding Venue:

Of course, there are also a few potential downsides to having an outdoor wedding. One thing to consider is that being outdoors means being exposed to the elements, which can be tricky to manage depending on the time of year. If you have your heart set on a summer wedding, make sure the venue has adequate shade so that guests don’t get too hot. And if you’re getting married in the spring or fall, be prepared for potentially chilly temperatures – renting space heaters or providing shawls for guests may be necessary.

Another thing to keep in mind is that insects can also be a bit of a nuisance at outdoor weddings (not to mention allergies!). Make sure the venue has a good pest control plan in place or provide bug spray for guests so that everyone can enjoy the festivities without any unwanted critters crashing the party.

Lastly, noise pollution can also be an issue at outdoor weddings. If you’re getting married in a residential area, make sure to let your neighbors know about the event in advance so they aren’t caught off guard (and hopefully won’t call the police!) Also, consider hiring security guards or off-duty police officers to help manage crowd control and noise levels if necessary.
