The Sanger Mansion Has a Rich History

Bella Mansion Luxury Wedding venue

For 30 years, an abandoned mansion sat hidden away in the beautiful Texas landscapes of a quaint town called Sanger. Sanger, Texas is in Denton County and is approximately 45 minutes northwest of Dallas. The mansion has a long and rich history rooted in Sanger, Texas which starts with its founding in 1866 as a stop along the Santa Fe Railroad line. Sanger’s population has continued to grow over the years and currently rests at a little over 7,000 people, making it the quaint and comfortable picturesque town for your wedding.

Through the mid-1980s Joseph and Julie Powell began construction on a captivating mansion with grand stables and other features to be their dream home. When they were unable to complete construction on the mansion, the property sat idle until it was sold in 1999, and again in 2019 to Bella Mansions.

The Sanger Mansion is the Perfect Place for your Wedding

Changing Your Wedding Plans During The Coronavirus – Making The Best of Plan B

When it comes to your special day, it’s all about you and your partner. Simply follow these easy steps on how to adapt your wedding to lower risk of COVID-19 while continuing the celebration of love.

Make It An Outside Affair

Many wedding venues offer an indoor and outdoor option. By taking the ceremony outside, you’ll be able to socially distance the people who mean the most to you. Some bridal parties are even providing their guests with gift bags filled with hand sanitizer and face masks to mark the special occasion.

Have An Intimate Ceremony Now And Large Reception Later

Couples are having “micro-weddings” with only close family and friends to limit the possibility of spread. Then, planning a large-scale party the following year to celebrate with all of the original guests. Simply send out a “Change The Date” invite in the mail or virtually to update all of your friends and family of the new reception date and let them know that the party can wait but forever can’t.

Go The Distance

For those that decide to have a more intimate ceremony, invite those that cannot attend in-person to see your special day virtually. Set up an account with popular services like Google Hangouts, Skype or Zoom, but be aware of time-limits on unpaid versions. As you create invitations, place the link, login and password so that they can login. Like a rehearsal dinner, we all need a little practice. We recommend setting up a pre-wedding virtual meeting so that those who are new to these services don’t miss a beat come wedding day. On the day of your wedding, delegate someone to go live and make sure everyone is muted. It’s as easy as that!

Don’t Give Up On The Honeymoon

Although traveling is very limited right now with countries around the world reopening at different rates, honeymoon plans are beginning to shift.. Now, resorts, hotels and getaways are heavily-regulated and faced with cleaning and sanitation requirements from local governments. Because of this, they are creating an environment focused on guests’ health and safety and offering more personalized and secluded experiences for couples. Before traveling, consult the CDC or WHO for the latest updates on COVID-19 and guidelines for travel. Another fun alternative, similar to micro-ceremonies are staycations to save for a bigger adventure later when it’s more safe. Just let the sparks fly at home and find little activities and moments where you can transform your space into a beautiful getaway that you won’t want to leave.

We are now pre-booking for 2021 at The Sanger Mansion. For more information, email: info@bella-mansions.com
